Giovanna Fletcher, 35, is best known as an author, and ‘Happy Mum, Happy Baby’ podcast presenter. Giovanna has made it to the semi-final of this year’s I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!, with just four campmates remaining. She has previously raised awareness for World Mental Health Day, after admitting to struggling herself.

Giovanna has a number of talents, having started her career writing for a number of magazines.

She also had some uncredited role in the 2009 film The Boat That Rocked, before later being handed guest roles on Loose Women and All Star Mr & Mrs.

She’s also sung in a number of YouTube videos, alongside husband Tom Fletcher, which have generated millions of views.

Earlier in 2020, it was revealed that Giovanna was heading into the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! castle.

But Giovanna has previously spoken out about her mental health, back on World Mental Health Day in 2018.

She admitted that she “wasn’t feeling myself”, and urged the public to be kinder to themselves.

The podcaster explained that sometimes she didn’t want to get out of bed, or that she’d be crying for no reason.

But, she also explained that she felt incredibly lucky, after giving birth to her third child just a few months previous.

“I’ve not been feeling myself the last couple of weeks, which is pretty tough to admit,” Giovanna wrote on Instagram.

“I’ve tried to say it out loud a couple of times and then totally dismissed it and brushed it under the carpet. I have found myself saying, ‘I’m not feeling myself, but it’s fine. I’m fine.’ Hmm…

“I’m fine but sometimes I don’t want to get out of bed in the morning. I don’t want to get dressed. I don’t want to see people. I don’t want to do anything. I’m fine but I’ve been crying for no reason and occasionally can’t seem to stop.

“I’m not feeling myself right now but I’ve just welcomed my third baby into the world and am so incredibly lucky.

“I’m not feeling myself right now BUT thankfully I have a great bunch of people around me who are giving me lots of support and making sure I’m kinder to myself.

“We must be kinder to ourselves! And we must talk. I wasn’t going to add to the amazing conversations happening around mental health today, but seeing as they’ve all helped me, I thought adding to it might just help some others. Be kinder and talk. Xxx #maternalmentalhealth #worldmentalhealthday.”

It’s absolutely crucial to speak up about your mental health if you’re struggling.

Most people feel low on occasion, but it’s affecting your everyday life, there are a number of supports available.

Try talking to a friend or relative about your feelings, said the NHS.

If you struggle to speak to someone you know, a health professional or counsellor may be better suited to your needs.

There are also a number of mindfulness techniques that aim to help your brain focus on the present moments.

If you’re struggling with your mental health, and it’s impacting your daily life, try speaking to a doctor.
