Melissa Alcantara Keeps Kim Kardashian’s Abs Flat and Booty Poppin’
Kim Kardashian found Melissa Alcantara, a.k.a. Fitgurlmel, when scrolling through Instagram. The trainer turned her own life around, going from overweight to bodybuilder. Her secret to success with the reality star is simple: hard work and consistency. “Just do it. Don’t make it an option,” she tells Us of working out. “You’re never going to feel bad about doing something for you. The more you do it, the more you want to do it.” She and Kardashian focus on targeted strength training — and go for results. “There’s one ab moves that she hates,” Alcantara tells Us. “It’s something with a medicine ball and maybe she’ll show it one day on Instagram, but she despises it.” The two get through tough routines together. “I like to work out with her sometimes. I feel like that gets her into it and she sees that I’m working just as hard as she is,” says the Bronx-native. “We’re both up at 6 o’clock in the morning and I’m like, ‘Listen, if you’re gonna die, I’m gonna die, we’re both gonna die.’ That’s how we get through it every day.”
Leyon Azubuike Turned Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jennifer Aniston Into Boxers
Leyon Azubuike makes sure his celeb clients — including Jennifer Love Hewitt (above), Jennifer Aniston and Julianne Hough — are true knockouts. “In a boxing-based program, the benefits are not just physical, they’re mental as well,” the Gloveworx founder tells Us. “To punch a heavy bag or hit the hand or shadow box your own world to see what it does to you, it affects your mental as well. It’s one of those things that once you start it, it’s a must-have in your regimen.” Besides training his clients like athletes, he makes sure they eat that way too. “My advice to [Jennifer Aniston] is always eat the food that gives you energy and makes you feel good and makes you feel like your life outside of working out makes you feel like you have energy and can function properly,” he says. The other key? “Water, water, water, water, water intake,” he adds. “You should never really be feeling dehydrated and hydration is something that is done weekly … You can’t just go and chug a gallon. This is something you have to be on top of intermittently day-to-day, week-to-week, month-to-month. That’s how you hydrate.”

Mohamed Elzomor Trains Victoria’s Secret Models With EMS
NYC-based pro Mohamed Elzomor uses an electric muscle stimulation (EMS) machine on the likes of Romee Strijd (above), Elsa Hosk, Winnie Harlow, Shanina Shaik and more VS models. “It’s a 20-minute workout and it’s equivalent to an hour of working out,” Elzomor tells Us. In addition to EMS, he strength-trains his clients with a combination of HIIT and “bodyweight stuff because they don’t want to bulk,” he says. “I think weight training is super vital because that’s how you’re gonna build muscle, which then in turn burns more fat and increases your metabolic rate.” Adds the pro, “It doesn’t matter how many calories you burn through the hour, it’s more about how many calories you burn during the 24-hour period. And if your workouts don’t change the metabolic rate, they’re not really doing much for you big picture.”

Harley Pasternak Has Kept Jordana Brewster and More Fit for Years
It’s hard to get a more star-studded client list than celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak. The pro counts everyone from Ariana Grande to Lady Gaga to Megan Fox to Adam Levine as current or former clients and was responsible for Jessica Simpson’s impressive post-pregnancy weight loss. With his trademark personalized, ever-changing, full-body routines, he’s kept Jordana Brewster in Fast & Furious shape for years. “I adore Harley Pasternak. He’s constantly switching stuff up. That’s why I love working with him,” the actress has told Us. “Lately the most fun has been getting off the treadmill every four minutes and doing weights. It keeps you from being bored.”

Gunnar Peterson Trains Kate Beckinsale Six Days a Week
“Kate is a six-day-a-week person. She doesn’t have the vices. She’s not a party girl. She doesn’t have the sweet tooth. So that makes what we do easier,” Beverly Hills-based trainer Gunnar Peterson revealed to Us of client Kate Beckinsale in August 2018 at the Rolls Royce X Technogym event held at his estate. “She’s definitely up there and [one of the] hardest workers. I mean every single day is push, push, push. She’s incredible.”
