The majority of the fat on your body is stored just underneath the skin, remaining visible. But there’s also a hidden type of fat, known as visceral fat, which can lead to serious health problems. It can trigger heart disease, diabetes and stroke. A diet is one crucial factor for reducing visceral fat.

The hot drink able to burn belly fat in weeks is coffee, according to various research.

Coffee contains several plant compounds called polyphenols proven to have visceral fat loss effects.

A study published on Research Gate, investigated the link between the hot beverage and visceral fat in particular.

This placebo-controlled research was done on overweight adults with visceral fat.

The participants received either coffee or a placebo drink.

Following this protocol for 12 weeks, the coffee group saw a reduction in their visceral fat, waist circumference and BMI.

Greater waist circumference is also considered a sign of the hidden fat.

Based on this, the research team concluded that regular coffee consumption “safely” burns the body fat, especially when it comes to the visceral type.

This isn’t the only study looking at the connection between coffee and fat burning.

Another research, published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, looked at the effects of caffeine on the metabolic rates of “normal weight” and “obese” people.

In the first trial, the researchers used eight mg per kg of body weight of caffeine and placebo, focusing only on “normal weight” individuals.

After having caffeine, the participants metabolic rate increased significantly during three hours.

In case you’re not familiar, metabolism describes the process of your body converting what you eat and drink into energy.

Giving this process a helping hand can help you burn calories and shed weight.

The researchers also saw an increase in the fat burning in this group within the last hour.

The second trial included caffeine measured at four mg per kg given to both “normal weight” and “obese” participants.

In this trial, the metabolic rate of individuals has risen “significantly” in both of these groups.

However, only the control group saw an increase in their fat burning.

These findings suggest that coffee or caffeine boost the metabolic rate in both “normal weight” and “obese” individuals.

But they also report that only the “normal weight” group experienced greater fat burning.
