Best Deep Sleep Music To Calm Your Mind at Night
We’ve all been there: Mind racing, phone sitting just a bit too close to your bedside, a world of lists of things to do, think and worry about that it makes falling asleep (or even winding down enough to think about falling asleep) impossible.
There’s plenty of folks trying to hack their ways into a better night’s sleep: From supplements to technology to intensely designed mattresses. But what if you could try to get into the sweet ZZZ zone with just a few videos? That’s the road plenty of people (myself included) take when we find it hard to put our devices down and put ourselves to bed. When you find the right sleep music for you — it can be a video with nature sounds, meditative instrumentals or white noise paired with a soothing (preferably dark) screen — you’ll find that it’s just a bit easier to block out anything that isn’t soothing, calming or sleep-friendly.
To help you insomniacs out, we rounded up some of our favorite chill dark screen sleep videos. May you never stay awake long enough to reach the end of them!
Thunder and Rain
You don’t have to be outdoorsy to appreciate the sweet sounds of nature. A good thunder or rain storm video can be such a soothing soundtrack for snoozing. You can find ones that go from drizzle to full on capital-S storm and others with music or other nature sounds in the mix. Highly recommend.
Lo-fi Beats to Chill
Calming Black Screen
Slow, low frequency sounds aiming to help you sleep for a full satisfying eight hours, this video is long but consistently soothing.
This star-filled sky goes black and shifts through more ambient relaxing chords for 11 hours of uninterrupted zen.
Deep Healing Sleep
This video isn’t a black screen one but has a chill circular graphic you can focus on until your eyes get too heavy to focus anymore. From the Sleeptube channel, it applies hypnotic images and relaxing music for meditation, sleep or a very chill afternoon.
