Spahn wants to protect young people from advertising for beauty-OPs
Advertising for plastic surgery, which is “exclusively or predominantly” to minors should be prohibited, according to the will of the Federal Minister of health, Jens Spahn. Such a ban would be “practical protection of the youth”, said the CDU politician of the “daily mirror”.
“The Signal of our society, young people must be: You’re ok just the way You are.” Advertisements for cosmetic surgery convey “too often, a other, wrong message”. Thus, young people would be put “under pressure to change their appearance through surgery”.
According to the report, the scheme should be added as an Amendment to the planned measles law for the protection of beige, and on Friday by the Bundestag in first reading, to be dealt with.
Any operative intervention on a mountain for the health, it means, according to the “daily mirror”report, in Spahns Amendment. “The age group of the young people, who are very receptive to topics such as the ideal of beauty and appearance”, should therefore be protected from such advertising. The ban should also apply to advertising in social networks.
