Wow! Adele Shows Off Insane Bikini Body After Weight Loss
Oh, hello! Adele showed off her bikini body on Sunday, August 30, months after she initially debuted her slimmed-down figure.
See How Adele Has Changed Through the Years
“Happy what would be Notting Hill Carnival my beloved London ????,” the 32-year-old songstress wrote alongside the bathing suit photo via Instagram, referring to the canceled U.K. festival. In the snap, Adele rocked a Jamaican flag-themed bikini top and tie-dye leggings.
Adele’s transformation made headlines in January after she reportedly dropped 100 pounds. Four months later, the Grammy winner looked happier and healthier than ever after shedding an additional 20 to 25 pounds.
“Based on available photos, I would estimate that from 2008 to present, it appears like Adele has lost approximately 150 pounds,” Heather Struhl, a physician assistant and registered dietitian who has not treated Adele, told Us Weekly in May, noting that “significant weight loss can certainly affect self-confidence and overall mood for many reasons.”
Struhl explained: “Fitting into that little black dress you’ve always wanted to wear or simply feeling healthier overall can have a great impact on physical and mental health. Excess weight puts additional stress on your body, including your heart and other organs, vasculature, as well as your joints. Many people choose to lose weight to improve joint pain that causes daily discomfort which severely affects quality of life.”

Adele’s former pilates instructor Camila Goodis also gave Us insight into her lifestyle change in January.
“I think she did change her lifestyle, like eating better, exercising moderately,” Goodis, who trained with Adele after she welcomed son Angelo, now 7, with ex-husband Simon Konecki, told Us. “I tell all my clients, ‘You can exercise 10 hours a day, if your diet is poor, you’re not going to see success.’ That’s the real truth.”
While Adele has yet to open up about her weight loss journey, fans have praised her in the comments section of her Instagram. On Sunday, Lisa Rinna was quick to weigh in, writing, “You just broke that internet Henny. ???”
Some social media users, however, were upset with Adele’s decision to wear Bantu Knots, a traditional African hairstyle.
“It’s the non black people trying to school black people on cultural appropriation for me,” one user wrote.

“OK for everyone who doesn’t understand. that reason ppl are angry is because black women have been judged for their hair for years, but when i white women does it she is praised for it,” another person wrote. “It’s annoying and unfortunate. so yes it’s offensive.”
A third person defended Adele, writing, “This is cultural appreciation not appropriation btw.”
Adele has yet to weigh in on the backlash.
