Rebel Wilson has hit her fitness goal with a month to spare! The Isn’t It Romantic star revealed on Nov. 29 that she hit her goal weight of 75 kilos — roughly 165 lbs., down from her previous weight of 220 lbs. — which she had hoped to attain by the end of 2020 as part of her “year of health.”
“Even though it’s not about a weight number, it’s about being healthy, I needed a tangible measurement to have as a goal and that was 75 kg’s,” she wrote on her Instagram Story alongside a shot of her scale.

Wilson proudly shared the news from VivaMayr wellness center in Austria, which she first visited in 2019 when she got “amazing results” from following the center’s Mayr Method diet plan, a source previously told PEOPLE.
At the start of 2020, she again began following the diet plan, which is targeted at helping clients reduce their sugar and gluten intake and focus on whole foods with high alkaline content, like vegetables, fresh fish and sheep’s milk yogurt.
“I went back because 2021 is going to be an insanely busy year with project after project, so I wanted to come back to VivaMayr,” Wilson told PEOPLE earlier this month of her decision to return to the center. She added that she hoped to “boost my immune system and lose my last two kilos.”

Though she set a weight goal, Wilson has said that her real priority has been feeling healthier.
“You never want it to be about the number, because it really isn’t about that,” she previously told PEOPLE. “It’s about: I was doing some unhealthy things to my body and I just wanted to change it and become a healthier person.”

Since committing to her “year of health,” Wilson has paired up with a nutritionist, who helped her realize that she was “probably eating 3,000 calories most days” of mostly carbs, and helped her switch to a high-protein diet and amp up her workouts. Here, she shared a photo of herself on Nov. 6 after she “woke up early, ready to smash a beach run.”

Part of her journey has also been figuring out the right “healthy balance” when it comes to cravings, and not getting stressed out over the scale.
“I would say to everyone out there don’t be obsessed about how much you actually weigh,” she said. “It’s more about all the healthy practices, and then the changes to your whole lifestyle.” Here, she’s pictured twinning with younger sister Annachi in Mexico while on vacation in early November.

“Even if you have to crawl towards your goals, keep going x it will be worth it,” she said in May, adding that she was working toward her fitness goals as well as trying to get one of her movies into production. “Try and give a little bit of effort each day…I know some days are frustrating as hell, you feel like giving up, you get annoyed at the lack of progress…but good things are coming your way.”

Wilson spoke more about those goals — and how they’re coming to fruition — during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show in mid-November.
“I love my curves and stuff. I don’t think I’ll ever go too skinny, but I feel so much healthier,” the Cats star said, adding that she’s also “really coming into my own” with her career.
“I feel more in control,” she continued. “I get to produce movies now — which is amazing — and have more control over the content. Everything seems to be coming together. Maybe I was a late bloomer or something, but I’m slowly getting it together.”

During her appearance on the show, Wilson gave some insight into the inspiration behind her “Year of Health.”
“For the last few years, I’ve been theme-ing my years. So I had the ‘Year of Fun,’ last year I had the ‘Year of Love,’ and this year it’s gonna be the ‘Year of Health’ because I turned 40 this year in March,” she explained. “I never really focused on my health, which was probably obvious. I was going all around the world jet-setting everywhere and eating a ton of sugar. That was kind of my vice. I have a very sweet tooth. I love desserts.”

Sharing that she’s attempted “fads and diets” in the past, Wilson added on the show that she wanted to take a “holistic approach this time” and focus on her mental health and emotional wellbeing.
“I think what I really suffered from was emotional eating and dealing with the stress of becoming famous internationally,” she said. “There is a lot of stress that comes with it, and I guess my way of dealing with it was just eating doughnuts,” she continued. “So I was working on the mental side of things of ‘Why was I not doing that? Why was I not valuing myself and having better self-worth?’ “

Wilson’s new beau Jacob Busch also doubles as a workout partner! “Early morning exercises with JB,” she captioned a mirror selfie of the couple on Oct. 24.
“Jacob is also very health conscious and they’ve been motivating each other with their health journeys,” a source told PEOPLE. “He’s a gentleman, has very old-school manners and treats her well.”

Wilson stresses that she’s all about balance, rather than cutting things out point-blank.
“I’m just trying to go for overall balance, overall healthy balance,” she told PEOPLE. “I have this state of being, which is not my quote, but I go ‘Nothing is forbidden.’ We’ll be like, ‘Should we get In-N-Out burger?’ And I’m like, ‘Nothing is forbidden.’ I can go there, I just might eat half of what I used to eat before. You know? And I’ll have a burger, and a few fries, and then you feel fine.”

When the COVID-19 pandemic first hit this year, Wilson headed home, where she decided to commit to a healthier lifestyle.
“When it first happened, and then suddenly all the jobs got canceled, and I went back to Australia to quarantine,” she told PEOPLE. “And I did do that thing, which I think a lot of people did, where I just ate ice cream and watched the news for a month. And then I was like, well hey, this is a great opportunity.”

On Oct. 4, the actress revealed she was nearing her goal weight, noting that she was only 3kgs (about 6 lbs.) away.
“This week was super busy but I got up super early 3 times (6am ?) and went on a hike…even did a couple of 100m sprints to get the heart rate even higher (although my ‘sprint’ is probably someone else’s ‘slow jog’ ?) but I felt proud of myself and now only 3kg’s away from my goal weight!” she wrote on Instagram.

While in quarantine at home in Australia, Wilson’s trainer Jono Castano put her to work with outdoor, socially distanced workouts — including “an epic Opera House stair challenge workout,” which she documented with a time lapse video on Instagram on May 5.
“We did 30 laps! Also walked to and from the Opera House as a warm-up/ cool down ? (last week I could only do 25 laps …sooo already improving),” she added.

Wilson’s trainer Jono Castano told Yahoo! Lifestyle that her decision to take a year-long approach is the healthiest way to work on a true transformation.
“A transformation is never ending, the journey always continues, so you can never give yourself 10, 12 weeks. Because it just continues, once you reach your goal then what? Then you’re going to stop? You can’t stop, it becomes a lifestyle, you continue and you become the best version of yourself as cliche as it sounds,” he told the outlet.

To kick off the year, Wilson announced that her New Year’s resolution would be her “Year of Health.”
“Okay so for me 2020 is going to be called ‘The Year of Health,'” she wrote on Instagram. “So I put on the athleisure and went out for a walk, deliberately hydrating on the couch right now and trying to avoid the sugar and junk food which is going to be hard after the holidays I’ve just had but I’m going to do it! Who’s with me in making some positive changes this year?”
