Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) occurs because of a hormonal imbalance.

“PCOS is a condition that affects the way the ovaries work,” says Medical News Today.

It added: “PCOS is believed to affect around one in five women.”

Symptoms of PCOS include:
